Web Design & Flash® Animation

Course Description:
Create your own website and have it published online using the latest versions of Dreamweaver®, Flash®, and Photoshop® . Students in this web design camp will begin by learning to design their website with the powerful yet user-friendly web editor Dreamweaver, then move onto Flash based sites and learn to hand-code HTML. Learn color theory, creative text effects and how to design customized graphics using Photoshop. Make your website POP with dynamic animations created with Flash. Design animated menus, rollover and time-based effects, image galleries, animations that react to mouse functions and more. You will also use Wacom® Pen Tablets to easily edit your digital photos with precision control.

From a basic webpage to an innovative, artistic site with interactive functions— get your vision online for the world to see. Whether you are totally new to Web Design or looking to take your skills to the next level, this awesome summer camp for kids and teens has the right challenge for you.

How We Teach
iD Tech Camps students receive the highest caliber technology education any summer camp has to offer! Students in this summer camp for kids teens will be able to move along faster and more independently, or collaborate utilizing our customized lessons—while still receiving our gold standard 1-on-1 instruction (average 6 students per staff). Using the latest in hardware and software, our all-adult staff works hands-on with each student from project theory to completion (you won’t find counselors-in-training at iD). Repeating this course over several weeks?
Our curriculum in this web design summer camp is designed so that students can return for multiple weeks, taking their skills to a new level. Our new curriculum is designed for beginning through advanced learners, allowing each student to move along at their own pace with customized lessons for a fun and appropriate challenge. It is not uncommon for students to stretch their skills in this course for 3, 4, and even 5 consecutive weeks. Below is an example of how your student’s skill level may increase if they take this course for multiple weeks.
