Course Description
Do you want to learn another language? At our summer programming camps, you'll learn the fundamentals of programming in C++ and/or JAVA, utilizing the powerful compiler Microsoft® Visual Studio®. (Programming languages taught at discretion of instructor). Explore a new world and take a look behind the scenes by learning how to code your own amazing applications.
Students in this programming summer camp for kids and teens will now have more time to code and gain a deeper understanding of the dynamic world of computer programming. Beginning students will learn the fundamentals of programming (in C++ or Java). Advanced students can look forward to college level topics including various types of algorithms and abstract data types. You may even learn how to create your own REAL and eye-catching WINDOWS applications with buttons, checkboxes and more!
Who should take this course?
Like solving mathematical equations? Are you an aspiring computer programmer or simply intrigued by programming? Look no further. This computer science summer camp course will help you achieve your goals. Even if you have never programmed before, by the end of the week, you'll be coding proficiently. Advanced students will find the right challenge as well with our customizable curriculum. Also, this course is well-suited for students wanting to learn the nuts and bolts of the programming used in our gaming courses.
How We Teach
iD Tech Camps students receive the highest caliber technology education any summer camp has to offer! Students in this summer camp for kids and teens will be able to move along faster and more independently, or collaborate utilizing our customized lessons—while still receiving our gold standard 1-on-1 instruction (average 6 students per staff). Using the latest in hardware and software, our all-adult staff works hands-on with each student from project theory to completion (you won’t find counselors-in-training at iD). Repeating this course over several weeks?
Our curriculum in this programming camp is designed so that students can return for multiple weeks, taking their skills to a new level. Our new curriculum is designed for beginning through advanced learners, allowing each student to move along at their own pace with customized lessons for a fun and appropriate challenge. It is not uncommon for students to stretch their skills in this course for 3, 4, and even 5 consecutive weeks. Below is an example of how a student’s skill level may increase by enrolling in this programming course over multiple weeks.
