iD Gaming Academy Staff
Our staff consists of top-tier instructors with backgrounds in game development, character design, game programming and professional gaming. Staff have demonstrated technical and instructional excellence. Check back regularly as we add content to these pages for the upcoming season.

RANDY – Academy Program Manager
Randy graduated in 1988 from the University of Colorado with a BS in Business Administration and an emphasis in Marketing. While he is now employed full time with the iD Gaming Academy, he has been an Art Director and contributing animator for more than ten game titles for publishers as diverse as THQ® and Microsoft®. In addition to being trained in traditional animation, Randy has had Flash® animation cartoons published by ESPN.com and is currently a freelance sports cartoonist for the Seattle Times. Randy has been working with iD for 4 years and has been at the helm of the Academy since its inception.

ALEX - Lead Instructor
Alex has been a leading artist in the game industry since he was in high school, having various titles distributed by RealNetworks, Activision, and Extreme Games LLC. An integral part of the inaugural season of the iD Gaming Academy, Alex is excited to not only develop components of the iD Gaming Academy curriculum, but educate the next generation of game artists at the Academy.. Having honed his considerable Maya skills at the prestigious Pratt Institute in New York City and graduating with a Computer Animation degree, Alex is currently an artist at Meez.com, the premiere online 3D Avatar company.

PETER - Lead Instructor
Peter obtained his BFA at McMaster University in Multimedia (2004) and went on to achieve his MFA at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 3D Animation (2006). In 2002, he was awarded a grant to start his own company and in 2004, he won the award for the Top Emerging Artist at the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival. His latest short film, Winston’s Shuttle, is circulating film festivals around the world. While currently teaching at Brock University during the academic year, Peter will be sharing his artistic vision and technical skill at the Academy.
