Course Instruction
The iD Film Academy offers students of all experience levels the chance to produce their own personal documentaries. Using Canon® GL-2 digital video cameras, Apple® computers and Final Cut Pro®, the industry standard editing software; students in this film camp will create projects that they can add to their portfolios. Instructors will give students lots of one-on-one time, encouraging and challenging students to complete a film they will be proud of.
Learning in small groups, students will work at their own pace. Students new to digital video will be brought up to speed with the basics of production and editing. Students with experience in video will discover the complexities of sound design and special effects editing, using Adobe® After Effects®. All students participating in our teen movie camps will have a memorable experience meeting friends and documenting their two weeks in the San Francisco Bay area.
The program objective is to give students a solid foundation in production and editing while learning the importance of working as a part of a team and finding an audience for their film.
