We have all new curriculum and we’re excited to announce our featured game Unreal Tournament 3 –one of the hottest games on the market. We will also be using Warcraft III: Frozen Throne and Battlefield 2142.

Specialty Camps for Teens: Course Description
As one of our latest specialty camp offerings, Gaming Athletes was extremely successful last season. This season, we’ve rebuilt the curriculum from the ground up. We’re introducing new cutting edge games like Unreal Tournament 3. The marquee games we select for instructional purposes in this course are some of the hottest games on the market.

From televised tournaments and corporate sponsors to six-figure tournament prizes and gamer-branded gear, competitive professional video gaming is sweeping the planet, spawning leagues such as Championship Gaming Series™. These professionals are young gaming enthusiasts who are serious about gaming as a sport. You may have heard it called eSports or Cyber Sports—no matter what you call it, iD Tech Camps is proud to offer our Gaming Athletes course.

In this teen video game camp, dedicated gamers will learn tactics and strategies developed by professional gamers for use in some of the most competitive and popular PC games. Get the inside edge on hot commercial titles and incorporate your new skills on machines complete with blazing NVIDIA GeForce® video cards. Practice against others in this course and then get networked up to other iD Tech Camps locations across the nation to simulate real tournaments and clan matches. You’ll also learn the skills of creating machinima to create highlight videos of your best in-game moves and shots.

How We Teach
iD Tech Camps students receive the highest caliber technology education any summer camp has to offer! Students in this summer camp for teens will be able to move along faster and more independently, or collaborate utilizing our customized lessons—while still receiving our gold standard 1-on-1 instruction (average 6 students per staff). Using the latest in hardware and software, our all-adult staff works hands-on with each student from project theory to completion (you won’t find counselors-in-training at iD). Repeating this course over several weeks?
Students ages 13-17 often repeat this summer computer camp course over several weeks. Our new curriculum is designed for beginning through advanced learners, allowing each student to move along at their own pace with customized lessons for a fun and appropriate challenge. It is not uncommon for students to stretch their skills in this course for 3, 4, and even 5 consecutive weeks. Below is an example of how your student’s skill level may increase if they take this course for multiple weeks.

Attention Gamers
Consider attending the iD Gaming Academy, a 2-week intensive program in the dynamic world of game development, game programming and professional gaming. Academy courses are geared for beginning to advanced teens aged 13-17. Using industry-standard applications like Autodesk® Maya® and Adobe® Photoshop®, the Academy is taught by top instructors with game development portfolios. Tour a major game development studio. NVIDIA®-Hosted Teen Gaming Tournaments
New Games! This season we will have Pre-Teen and Teen Gaming Tournaments which will showcase the industry's hottest games. Teen students will have the chance to compete playing our featured game, Unreal Tournament 3. We use NVIDIA GeForce® gaming cards for peak gaming performance. Students will also play BIG titles from Epic Games®, Activision®, Blizzard® Entertainment, Electronic Arts, Microsoft® GameStudios™ and more. In our Teen Gaming Tournaments, games rated “T” for Teen and "M" for Mature may be used and will be selected at the sole discretion of iD. Note: Tournaments DO NOT infringe on instructional time.

Games Rated E, T, and M: Our Responsibility
iD Tech Camps is an industry leader in offering various technology courses, including courses and activities revolving around gaming. Some of our gaming curriculum is based on the most commercially successful gaming titles and gaming engines. In order to offer the most cutting edge experience for our campers, we have adopted the policy of allowing the use of some select games rated "T" for Teen and “M” for Mature to be used as part of our curriculum in a supervised environment. While we take our corporate responsibility and iD family values very seriously, we cannot guarantee that younger students will avoid complete contact with these games. Please know that we make every effort to minimize exposure to any games not appropriate for these age groups
